Okie Johnson, Honourable Fonge Ignite Back To School In Constituency

By Ashu Akepe The Member of Parliament for Kupe Muanenguba II Hon. Fonge Julius and the general manager, Mr Okie Johnson, this Sunday September 19th, 2021 lunched the back to school for the academic year 2021/2022 for schools in Nguti subdivision, Kupe Muanenguba II constituency. The ceremony took place in Douala thousands of Kilometers away from Nguti for security reasons. Among the items provided were books, pens, pencils, slates, chalk, office stationeries. The ceremony was attended by the education family of the sub division, municipal authorities, and representatives of the functional schools, presidents of development associations of the 54 villages which make up the subdivision, clans head and a host of other development oriented persons. The MP whom himself is an educationist said the importance of this exercise doesn't need much emphasis for the fact that it is time every son and daughter from Nguti subdivision put hands on deck to see that schools reopen and fun...

   Being A Presentation By The Director General Of NASLA To The 2nd Ordinary Session Of The Committee On The Follow-Up Of The Implementation Of The Recommendations Of The Major National Dialogue, Nasla- Buea 22 September 2021 WHAT IS THE SPECIAL STATUS Article 62(2) of the constitution provides that “the law may take into consideration the specificities of certain Regions with regards to their organization and functioning”. The Special Status is therefore an institutional mechanism, that reinforces National Unity and cohesion, by recognizing the specificities of certain Regions. These specificities maybe linguistic, educational, legal, cultural or otherwise. The State by recognizing these specificities through the Special Status, makes it easier for the said Regions to be better integrated as part of the Country. PM Dion Ngute Says Peace Is Only Way Out

By Noela Bisong   Prime Minister and Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute, has said as far as the attainment of the resolutions of the Major National Dialogue is concerned, peace has to take precedence. According to Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute, this is the only way out for the successful implementation of the recommendations of the Major National Dialogue, and it is now or never. The Prime Minister was speaking in Buea on September 22, during the second session of the Committee to follow up the implementation of the recommendations of the Major National Dialogue. The event which brought together key stakeholders of the endeavour was held at the premises of the National School of Local Adm inistration, NASLA. The Prime Minister also has urged the entire populations of the North West and South West regions to rise up as one man to strive for peace with all their might.
